After completing the storyboards and animatic for my student film DENSITY, we completed a full layout pass before starting animation.  Using the finalised character and prop models, I set up Toon Boom Harmony files for our animators which included intending rough timing, character scale relative to one another/props/the environment, and key movements of characters, as well as layer order for animation, so that we could smoothly move between storyboards, animation, and compositing.
